I have been fortunate to build a career that combines work with my personal interests and values. As a runner, wear testing my designs and adjusting prototypes was not only invaluable, but a dream come true!
My talent for color design and knack for merchandising strategy led to front-end creative direction roles, where I influenced teams cross functionally to align on seasonal content. My greatest accomplishment is supporting the growth and development of my team.
I am dedicated to partnering with community organizations that focus on women’s leadership and protection of our outdoor spaces.
I am based in the San Francisco Bay Area where I enjoy time with friends and family.
Experience
GLOBAL Creative SeRVICES Director
In this exciting role for THE NORTH FACE, I was responsible for color, print, material & trim palettes for all business categories: apparel, footwear and equipment. I led my team to deliver seasonal design concepts followed by building tools that communicate palette direction for each collection. These palettes addressed consumer segmentation, delivery flow and distribution channels. I successfully influenced regional teams to align on content that supported all business segmentation goals.
GLOBAL Color Design Director
With a passion for color design and desire to unify the brands presence in the market, I successfully advocated for the creation of THE NORTH FACE’s first ever dedicated color design team. The first step was to strategically focus the palette in order to deliver a consistent point of view globally. In 2017, following a deep dive into The North Face product archives, we launched the ICON palette, capturing brand DNA that led to a marketing launch of the ICON collection.
Performance Apparel Design & Product Development
Working for a cutting edge activewear manufacturer from 1996-2006 provided the opportunity to design and develop product for major brands including ADIDAS, ASICS and private label product for major Sporting Good retailers. In response to the emerging athleisure trend, I partnered in a start up brand, AVANI, focusing on women’s activewear that featured sustainable materials. Designing performance product became increasingly meaningful and led me to the outdoor industry, where I worked with elite athletes to innovate best-in-class performance product for THE NORTH FACE.
