Avani
In 2006, I co-launched the start up brand Avani in response to an emerging athleisure trend. My vision was to create a line of comfortable, stylish Women’s activewear that used eco-focused materials. Avani, which means “Earth,” featured organic cotton, recycled materials and yoga-inspired dye treatments. Avani’s sustainable business practices included Made in the USA. In the first year, Avani sold $5M to Nordstrom, REI, Dillard’s and others. I was responsible for design, marketing, product development, and worked directly with clients during sales calls.
